General Dentistry Our goal is helping you have a smile you are proud of by assisting you in keeping your teeth and gums healthy. We strive to provide comprehensive oral care and provide a wide array of services to our patients. Cleanings and Examinations Preventative care is the keystone to good oral health. We recommend 6 month cleanings to help remove the calculus buildup that brushing can't get that form around your teeth and leads to gum disease. After your cleaning we will do a thorough examination of your mouth to ensure you are cavity free and all of your existing fillings are sound. Fillings Cavities are an infection of the tooth that continues to spread until it is removed. We remove the infection and replace it with fillings that help arrest the spread of the cavity in the tooth. Whitening We have two options for tooth whitening. One method we fabricate a custom tray that you wear at home for a week or two. We also have an in-office treatment available that whitens teeth in one appointment. Crowns and Veneers Crowns (caps) are placed over the top of a tooth to help strengthen a tooth and help it withstand the forces of eating and biting. Crowns can be fabricated that are white and we can match them to the color of your existing teeth. Veneers can be placed on teeth to help improve the esthetics of your front teeth and improve your smile. Root Canals When a cavity reaches the nerve that exists in the middle of your tooth it cause infections and leads to tooth aches. The fix for this is a root canal. This procedure eliminates the infection and the pain that is associated with the infection. Extractions When a tooth needs to be pulled we will pull the tooth for you. Dentures Creating a good smile that will be very functional is a must for any denture. Partial dentures help fill in spaces by clasping onto existing teeth and filling up the spaces with acrylic teeth. Full dentures (or plates) are needed when a patient no longer has any teeth remaining. We offer immediate dentures for patients who still have teeth but need to transition to dentures. Immediate dentures are a technique where a denture is made prior to us extracting your teeth so you get a new denture the day you get your teeth pulled and eliminates any time where you won't have teeth to fill out your smile. Implants Implants are placed into the space where a tooth or teeth needs to be replaced. The implant is integrated into the bone and forms a solid base for a custom fabricated tooth to be placed on for a solid permanent solution. This is a very reliable technology that helps eliminate the need to reduce good teeth to form a bridge or removable partials.
